Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

0 posted 2007-03-11 03:24 PM

There is poetry in the silence
Words floating to the ground
Gently falling
Slowly settling onto the page
on the backs of snowflakes

Piling one upon another
Jostling for position
Gleefully giggling

“You go over there
and I get to be in the middle”

“No, No!
It’s MY turn to be in the middle”

Laughter fills my heart
As words tumble upon words
Spilling into sentences
Drifting into paragraphs
Filling my world with frosty delight

and poetry.

Having lived in Florida my entire life, I've seen snow only twice - what little bit managed to make its way here. The way you describe it makes me want to roll in it!

And... it also brought to mind a memory of my two sisters and I, when we were little, fighting for the middle seat in the back of the car LoL! I wanted the middle so I could see out the front windshield. My little sister always won, though, as she was prone to motion sickness if she was by the window. Guess we all won then, no?

Lovely write, this.

Maybe one day we can make snow angels and write words in the pristine white.  Who knows where our paths may lead us.

Thinking of you and thanking you.
