.

So I gazed
At his old clothes
Tattered as they were

And said
I imagine you’ve missed
A turn or two
Wherever you’re bound to go

To which he sighed
Though somewhat sly
And answered with smile

What makes you think
For all intents
Your time
Is all that different

That I couldn’t prosper
At the capital
A vaunted respected senator
Honored  for his style

.
