Please, no
don't rub that in
      right there,
because the salt does sting
when it slowly rolls down
trickling into old wounds
not yet healed completely

and not needing to be re-opened
  by sharp reminders,
      anyhow.

Yes,
  it still hurts

        when you touch

                       right there.

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna

Best approach!  Get it out in the open!
Talk about it.

Nice one GS.

I remember a wound
where my own salt
ran into it...

and I remember some wounds of illness
when my father took me to the sea
and told me to stand in it

and I would be healed...

amazing,

what salt can do.

Even, if it is right there.

Hi, GS.

Amazing, isn't it, how many people seek to rub in that salt or receive it without complaint?  You'll not be one of those people, will you?  Even when the wound is still fresh, you stick up for yourself...umm, don't you?  At least, that's what I got from your poem--unless the words are only written and never spoken!

Anyhow, wonderful write!

Donna...Tough write. I can relate because of old wounds that we think are safe from the salt of past feelings...Paul

You say it so much nicer than I.

I'm a little more, um, abrupt.

But then, you ARE the gentle spirit.

(yanno? I can't bring myself to use that spoonrest either--so it is on my wall, next to the light--to remind me. )

thank you lovie

This one's for my archive.

It hurts to look in there,
yet, reminds me to love.
