it won’t rain today,

I’m sure of it.

it rains every day.
I never think it will.

but today I’m sure;

there won’t be any rain.

You do know that I'll be humming that old song "seems it never rains in southern California" all afternoon... right? *S*

And you changed your profile location...

Optimism survives even in the face of many disappointments... I hope your bright outlook is rewarded! *S*

Levels.  Two.

Level one.

I need the rain, to revive, to lift, to grow.

Level two.

We need the rain.  To live.

Eddy darling man, now this I like, positive and thoughtful. It isn’t raining right now, but I know it will later, I know because I’m off to London with Emma and Gray, and it is bound to rain because we shall have to walk from the station to St Thomas’s, so naturally it will tip it down. It is impossible to get back from London to Maidstone between the hours of 4.30pm and 7pm so we shall have a long wait, what else would it do but rain.

No rain here either.
I'm sure of it.

I'm not sure if we ever can be sure of anything in life but when it comes to "no rain", we're all somehow blessed with second sight.  We're in desperate need of rain here as well - it doesn't somehow help to say "rain today" but one can try.

Um, first? interesting critique message!

And a friend here at the forum once said my work reminded her of Willy Wonka (I took it as a compliment, as the original Wonka work is chock full of poetic allusion) and now I must say to you--

I could picture Gene Wilder saying this, and it makes perfect sense to me too.

Enjoyed.

if it rains,
take the train
or take the plane
go to Spain
then to the plain
to dance around
to stay sane.

If it rains not
then is for sport..sweat...hot
is this better?
