.

Ah Helen
Our sea rolls on

The ships that come to shore
Are not the same as those we knew
When we were young

Still the sun remains the sun
And the moon at night
Is yet that wise old man
Whose light shined on our dreams

So I will brush a line or two
Using the lambent residue
To limn what made me sigh

.

This, is a little more full-bodied
than your usual gift, John.

I enjoyed the imagery, and images.
