I Paint

I paint a painting of my mind
My palette shows a mystic mix
Each dab I dab is fixed in kind
To light the object I would fix

I hum a tune this state of swoon
This hand that marks the canvas face
I paint the magic of the moon
With sliver shards of loving lace

The surface shows a mass of swirl
A picture of a path of lights
They whirl and curl the color pearl
Showing lights within the whites

Dancing in a colors dance
They dance into your living space
They place your mind within a trance
And weave you in a dreamers trace

A touch of dreamer’s nuance
Painted from a wiles enhance

And I say ... get those pictures you DID paint up there on Photobucket, and let the world in here see them Sy.  This man can not only paint in poetry, but he is an accomplished artist I have to tell you.  The black/white sketch you sent me ended up in my son's office beautifully framed, will have to send you a picture if I remember.  It is the word, "remember" that I have trouble with these days m'friend.     Lovely verse.

Sharon,
You are a gracious lady and If it weren't for the fact I can't keep up with this technical age I would do it. The older I get the further away all these new facilities seem to get. I think I need a sharp new assistant to help me do all the things I want. Thank you for the lovely reply.

Nancy
As I said to Sharon I would need a sharp assistant to help me do what you ask. This new technology has gotten far beyond me. But I do appreciate your comment.

Sy?  I took a moment to read some of the replies, I don't know why, but I did...

and it makes me think that we need to have some of your wonderful art on display.

If someone can take some close ups photos of your art...it would be my treat to help you display them, if you wish.

Because you are an artist not only of word, but brush....

and this, I know.

Look at all of the assistants you have recruited!

Bravo Maestro Seymour!
This is simply fantastic poetry!

And I agree that somebody should help you get the pictures of your paintings in here, so that we can admire them too!

You are a wonderful artist!

Love and hugs.
Bravissimo!

Your poem was a real pleasure to read! The rhyme was excellent and the syllable count was right on. I look forward to reading more from you.
