    He weaves his way
         into my thoughts
         it is as though
         surely he knows
         that I am in need
         of the presence of him

I dare not attempt to avoid
        the come of his keep
        for the fire
has need of the sticks he brings
        flame from embers
        he stirs
        I burst into new warmth

    Keeper come
        I await~

Softly and beautifully spoken dear Marge.

I do hope the keeper of the fire heard you.

My experience of the presence of our creator is both male and female--or maybe, more precisely, neither.

(and no, I don't intend a disagreement here, because I do know this feeling)

I much enjoyed the, well, serenity of this!

You KNOW what I think about this one.....gets me right here, it does. Such things always -- always -- have their effect, whether we ever know of it or not.

This is lovely, Marge.  I've been thinking lately that those who try to "avoid" perhaps suffer more and so just in case I too await.

Marge..
It's been long since I came here.Your poetry, as always, a delight to read. And today, it felt like a fresh breeze brushing me softly reminding me of old days here.

Thank you so much

Thanks all ... I'm not able to read the replies due to an apparent 'glitch' at the moment ... but gonna put a 'THANKEE' here in the hopes that it will clear up the problem~
Heck fire ... all other poems at PiP are opening up for me but this one is being as obstinate as the Keeper that hasn't come to the fire~
