The song of a Coleman Lantern on a dark night
wraps sinuously as the wick feeds beauty bright
Flickering flame dances to nocturnal serenades
while light drafts weave magical art shadows

Patterns climb up walls to
drift easily with cracks on the ceiling

Gentle night as snow taps delicately,

beckoning
begging

one to notice the intricate patterns of frost
framed by layers of flakes whose beauty remains
invisible to those who choose to remain blind

Night wonder, winter delight flirts for attention
demands notice as the lantern orchestrates another waltz
dreams settle into stories enrapturing, capturing
those who accept invitation to the Coleman Lantern dance

reminds me of camping...or a hurricane aftermath

it's the only good thing about a hurricane...those art shadows, yes
