Vague uncertainty hangs like a cloud
poised to mask what one seeks to reveal,
for the key to unlocking the truth
human nature prefers to conceal.

Should we open that "Pandoras'" box,
face what demons therein may reside?
Write it down as one more paradox
and, except what the "Fates" may decide?

Certain moods may reflect certain days,
as the gloom spreads beneath pensive skies.
The mind works in mysterious ways
too few answers and too many "whys".

Almost if as a mind led astray
seeks to find through the clouds a true way.

Wasn't it a wedding gift? (pandora's box, I mean)

(I'm pretty sure it was.)

Gawd, I think that pretty much explains a bunch, don't you?

"... The mind works in mysterious ways ..."

Self-contradictory conclusions are qualities that sometimes makes my "mind" stick in rewind but still it fascinates me.

Interesting write, I was expecting something else from the title ... and I do adore surprises.

always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same

Very nice ~ "Vague uncertainty hangs like a cloud poised to mask what one seeks to reveal, for the key to unlocking the truth
human nature prefers to conceal."

Unfortunately, the Pandora box is rarely honestly open. Deliberately, people choose to conceal, deliberately choose to deny and then many think they have lived their life willingly, opening a box that they unable to analize its contents. Its frustrating for me. Enjoyed your poem and wisdom here.
