trees suspended by tendrils of will
sky touching sky like tapestries of linens
laid in linings of gold,
traced on images of silver

sun sets on pallored pillows of ivory,
stained with the tears of a passing day
tears that hallow all of life’s journeys
resting in the harbor of summer winds

the soul sings for lack of yearning
songs the restless only know
written by the bards of the lonely
to capture the hearts of the free

away, oh sirens of sentient dreams
allaying the fears of repression--
away, oh freedom’s refrain
feigning the arrival of spring

trees suspended by tendrils of will
scratching the surfaces of desire

"songs the restless only know"

I adored the colors you weaved through this piece, and especially the perception of "sentient dreams." (great word there)

"sky touching sky like tapestries of linens"

Which inspires me to say-
linen is natural light shades of pale
caressed with panting breaths of color
to mark a degree of difference

Fabulous read steavenr.
