rigidly frozen in lines of conformity
unable to wrestle from its grip
bound by tendrils of long grown society
unable to move, unable to slip

from its tightly woven outlines confined
in definition, determined by years
of patterned processes refined
unfettered not by hopes nor fears nor tears

standing alone with the faces of adversity
longing to be free from their ploy

of seeming to be what needs to be
while yearning to be just to be

Calamity surrounds us in many different forms...  I pray we can discern their differences.

It seems life and culture shapes our path, more often than we would like...
Truly we were all created...to be.  When that spirit rises, I listen to it with reverence.  Keep it simple...I think.
Well done.

My mind broke up the sound
of the last line
and the words "to be just"
stood out, a sound unto themselves...

Thank you, Steaven...
