I am a marginal presence
in my entries, journalized
the gaps between the dates
explain
the little bit that I describe
and there are pages I have torn
ragged edges leaving proof
that what you read is truth indeed,
but edited
maniacally
as if my life were just a trick
of cards maneuvered clumsily
laughing much too nervously

"Pretend that you did not see this"

as aces peek there from my sleeve

winking at you, even now

I am a presence, marginal
math done on the back of page
sequences of slants
like this ////
and stick men with their fingers wage
concepts of simplicity
before I draw them with bare feet
counting on their toes.

Ragged edges of me curled
in the journal of forget
as I wrap my hair in twirl
around a finger of regret
accusing me of negligence:

"Pretend that you did not see this"

written on page three.

"and stick men with their fingers wage

Your journaling is most profound, as I "maneuvered" through it I counted so many things that captured my imagination.

Fascinating, and I am glad I did SEE it.

always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same

Serenity~

I tried to "Pretend that you did not see this" ... but I'm peeking at pages and seeing thoughts that intrigue me~

No one could ever pretend they have not seen what you have written.
Because you write magic!
Love ya lady~

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

what an excellent write! I found myself pouring over it again and again...just loved the lines

As you guys can see? I am a really bad journal keeper.

I think these blue pages constitue the closest thing to memoirs of any sort that I have kept. And yeah, I break all the rules--I write autobiographically (but just enough to keep folks confused) I don't mind using the pronound "I", 'cause I figure ya'll are bright enough to know that since I wrote it, "I" was there, and I use slant rhymes, convenient rhymes, I jump in and outta meter, and generally just try to have my own way with m'self.

So...*curtsey*

I thank you all kindly, and Janette? You may be the only one who read pages one and two.

Thanks again kind poet folk.

and a special thank you for marge, too, who is anything but "marginal" herself.

Love to all.
