wash and wear

the dust of travel
settles into fibers
of our fatigued clothes
longing for a renewal

we are dingy shirts
soon plunging together
into a laundry
of welcome home well wishes

as our buttons click
silk and flannel entwine
seeking solutions
now ultra concentrated

we tumble and turn
agitating with need
spinning passionate
bubbles of lathered secrets

the cycle completes
once we acknowledge
when following normal
washing instructions
we are strictly wash and wear

Steavenr too clever.

Jannette,
Always I enjoy your writing and perspective. Nice touch. So is this about dirty laundry?

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Janette~
This is poetic creativity at it's finest ... to take an idea and work it like you've done makes for a delightful read~
