For the eyeing of my scars,
there is a charge

   ~Sylvia Plath

ha!

would you like to see
my scars?
look
this red one
got it wingwalking
yes
way out there
standing alone on silver
nothing to cling to
hard air flicking
biting
I never wavered
stood in that airstream
and took it full force

if you’re asking
if I even ducked
the answer is
no!

this time
I dared danger to find me
I opened my mouth and felt for it

this lavender scar
the one shaped like a future?
made by a soulflier

ha!
he just happened to be
out flying
when I decided to wingwalk

how’s that for coincidence?

he had words and words
forever
knew just how to wield them
and amazingly
how to unwield them
in time to make scars

nothing leaves a scar
like words

unwielded

nothing just may be truer than these words

"nothing leaves a scar
like words

unwielded"

nice write, so well worth the reading...

Oh yeah.  Wingwalking, out there in the air, standing against the wind.  Sometimes you take a chance, and the chance takes you.
I really like the images in this one.

This made me think, a "wingwalker" ... huh? ... Oh! ... she spoke at great risk ... and then I began to wonder ... in the end was it a risk well taken?  I hope so and more so I hope she escaped.

Interesting piece here with even more interesting words, especially "wingwalking."  I honestly enjoyed this one!  Clever clever clever ... YOU.

I guess in the end
every risk is worth taking Janette
though it hurts like crazy
when you fall off the wing

thank you so much

thank you Dixie
you’re quite a wingwalker yourself

Silence can cut deepest of all...but for the words that lead us to it.
