I wrote this poem for my friend. shes one of my best friends and i love her, but she doesnt see it yet... see us yet. i hope the poem is -ok- for a 17 y/o.

Happiness in its perfection is a single instant
As you came into my life as a Platonic ideal
Perfection in the mind of god
Of elegance, honesty and mystique
You are that instant adorned in truth and beauty
And that instant be over and your mind stay blinded
Loosen loves grip on those under its control
For but the cadence of your name thrust so gently
Out of mouth into air is enough to stir controversy
And the mind of the moldable, moveable by but a word
Was captured - but needn’t be released as of yet,
In detainments stay it waits to breathe life
And one day open your encaged soul.
Renaissance of your own love realized
And you will be in that moment of perfection
Mine.

moments of perfection are far and few between. I thought I found it once and let myself down. Make sure you bottle it up when you do find it and put it somewhere safe. Take Care, JulieAnn
