Magical Frozen Night

Silver sheen of suspended light
Shrouded behind crystal fog night
Frozen air shaped by shards of ice
A dim glow shines to entice
Cast down upon snow banks white

Cold snaps with the sharpest bite
Skeletal trees still and cuddled tight
Branches whisper of tomorrow day
Dance silently with gentle sway
Bone fingers long for warm sun bright

World waits for dark to take flight
Quiet settles ‘til dawn’s twilight
Early sun does naught to ease the cold
Light will paint art in pink and gold
Sparkle of diamond snow delight

...

Nature has never been one of my strong subjects to write about. This is beautiful.

You captured the cold perfectly in the skeletal limbs...could feel the icy fog, see the prism of the snowflake...very well crafted write.

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

Great imagery here! I love the winter and its cold is my surreal. Those winter nights are like yoga. I delighted in reading this poem. It makes me want to run to snow quickly. Thank you for sharing!
