Listening to every heart

Serenity’s Grace

Fey is a favored sound, a feeling,
an emotion of mine, chief and atop
the ladder when bold becomes
uninhibited, and I dare to dare again

and remind myself of the beauty
I took in, in 1999, before the adverse
times of the city, and recall that I did
not know just how close
serenity might be…

I know not if this shop still stands,
I am sure the painting sold long before,
a memoir, perhaps, to any lover of
phantoms, and songs, or perhaps, just
lovers of waterways

but I still find myself deep in circle of thought,
that it, as had my friend, survived.

It is far too easy to fall into shadows
but I shall choose the lighter touch
of fey, and know.

These shops? Many of them are still there--a little lonelier for company, and the proprietors are more ameniable to the likes of ME--but they are there, full of stuff waiting to become someone's "cherish".

Kinda like me.

Love you Kari!

Karilea, lovely!

Serenity, You are someone's "cherish". In fact a lot more people than you may realize do cherish you. martyjo

Absolutely beautiful, Karilea. Both, the picture and the poem.

A lovely tribute to one of my favorite plases to visit ... New Orleans.  Reading this has made me long ... to go visit again, soon.

Enjoyed this memory jolt!

always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same

Very beautiful Karilea..
Makes me want to go there and visit
these shops and the one we all cherish.

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

I get here when I can darling heart, sometimes it’s easier than others. Today I should be working on sonnets and writing about Michael Drayton, 1563-1631, English poet who wrote some lovely sonnets, but I simply can’t concentrate for very long. Then I found PiP’s calling me and I slipped away from school to play for a little while. I know I shouldn’t but……… I simply couldn’t fight temptation., naughty Mushy x

Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds
but I can face the future with courage brave and bold
