walking on the edge again-
this time I just might fall in

slipping a little more each step
on the teeters and the totters

old love letters make good sailboats
only in shallow waters.

I agree with Roniece (as if I would dare do otherwise :-)
Few words....big impact!
Well done.

You know, you take us all on your journey
Letting us share
Letting us feel
Letting us peek into
a part of you

It's a journey I love
because I get to share it with a person
I don't know but care about so much.

you are always transparent and thought-provoking, but those love letters might make better anchors than sailboats...

Wow!

You isolate "the edge" powerfully here.

Enjoyed!

always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same

Dixie...

I thought of the my children making sailboats out of anything they could find that floats and the gutter during rain.  Your poem is much more profound.

I've known people best described as "still water".....unfortunately in addition to that depth thing, there's the problem that goes with it.....still waters run stagnant.
