A Heart Can Forget To Dance

put your arms around me
just this, this is my plea
I want to feel a tender touch
forgotten the needs of such
can you help me find my feet
teach me the steps so sweet
a heart can forget to dance
but not the desire of romance
loneliness in nights and days
memories music slowly plays
painfully it should not be this way
give up, give in or forget, no never
I believe, this is my true endeavor
of this dream, just one of some
that the best is yet to come
I want to dance not stand still
it is not enough to what I feel
so put your arms around me
just this, this is my plea

Helen,

Always the unrepentant romantic.
I’m frankly surprised you’re still alive . . .

What beauty you've written here! And you're right... a heart can forget to dance and a face can forget to smile... often needing help to remember. *S*

interesting, thoughtful, emotive 'write'!

I am particularly fond of:

"...help me find my feet
teach me the steps so sweet
a heart can forget to dance
but not the desire of romance"

Applause!!
