My Dreamworld

Welcome to my dreamworld...It’s a place inside my head
I shouldn’t really live there...so I’ve often heard it said.
In point of fact I relish it! The reason is, you see
It’s much more to my liking than is cold reality.

In my dreamworld there’s no rudeness or malevolence to face
And all my friends negotiate with courtesy and grace.
And I in turn respond to them with kindness and respect;
Nobody in my dreamworld suffers disdain or neglect.

When someone in my dreamworld makes a promise, then I know
I can take their word of honour as their virtue deems it so;
I stand upon that surety ... in trouble or delight
They say they will, I know they will... I don’t perceive they might!

Psychology’s a funny thing, and everyone’s adroit
When criticising others for the actions they exploit.
Yet, here within my dreamworld, there is time enough to linger;
The quiet voice of reason turns the harsh accusing finger.

It’s warm within my dreamworld... it’s a lovely place to be;
Come, place your hand upon my heart and rest awhile with me.
Forgive, forget,  relax and  let a new light shine within;
Maybe you have a dreamworld too... and is it such a sin?

The greatest thing you can do for another is not just to share your own riches...but to reveal to him his own.

Your dreamworld Rod, to me appears a place we'd like to be.
Not burdened by, or living in, life's harsh reality.
But we must make the best we can of Earth's deficiencies.
for only then can dreams come true and give us what we please.

The faults and imperfections that we meet along the way,
are challenges to lead our soul to find it's true pathway.
For only those who find a way to keep their dreams alive
will truly find  their dreamworld in the place they now reside.

I have a dream world of my own. It is indeed a much better place to be. But, we do have to face reality.
