and if ever you visit
the dark side of the moon
roses will grow in your hand
any color you like
yes
even lilac

in the shadow of the moon
you shall find
words like none you have ever heard
or seen

words like
breathe
breathe
care

if ever you visit
the dark side of the moon
you shall find a night knight
leaning into the swelling light
moonbeams darting in and out his beard
sweet lips parted
to taste purple cordial
dreaming of a maiden
and the lilac he can smell

but cannot reach

Kate, you brighten the dark side of the moon with brilliant imagery. You captivate with enigmatic intrigue that is simply magic.  A most beautiful write that is amazing on many levels.

This is very good, almost an extension
it seems to me from Keat's La Belle Dame
Sans Merci.

With your permission I would like to
include this in my Word File of poems
by others.

If yes, what name shall I attach to it?

Again very good.

John
