This was originally posted as a response to, and inspired by, one of Bea's poems, but I thought I would elevate it to a stand alone piece.  Thank you grandma.....

Soul Mates

Soul mates born of ethereal time
never break the silver line
of thread that joins their souls as one
even when a lifetime's run
Forever in each other's care
nothing can divide the pair
who share a love that's meant to be
united in eternity......

Ivor G Davies

The moment created this second, is a  moment that's going to last.
It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past.

I think the first stanza can stand by itself. That being said, I like it.

Edward,

Sorry, as I transfered this from a response and edited it a bit straight into the 'submit' section. I think you commented as I was altering it.

Hope I haven't changed it too much for you,

Thanks for responding so quickly,

Ivor

Yes yes, this version is much better. Very good. I think poetry and filmmaking are very similar; it's all in the editing.

My sentiments exactly!

I am pleased that you posted, in Open, your reply to Grandma Bea's wonderful poem.

It most assuredly, stands well on its own!

I enjoy reading poems on soul mates ~ and this is one of the most eloquently expressed ones that I have read!

Linda, trutodaraiders,

Again thank you for reading and responding. One ting that springs to mind about soulmates is that they have walked together for a long time and are usually fairly well balanced souls...
