Beyond the shores of sapphire blue,
Stood the girl he thought he knew,
She stood alone for all to see,
Not caring, knowing or loving me.

Beyond the ocean far and wide,
Stood a man who did reside,
Alone for all the world to see,
Not caring, knowing or loving me.

Then by chance he did espy,
That lovely creature pass him by,
She strolled on by to view the sea,
Not caring, knowing or loving me.

Then amongst those faces oh so near,
A shape, a form would soon appear,
A man of depth and soul was he,
Not caring, knowing or loving me.

Her voice was carried on the breeze,
And murmured softly through the trees,
A silken voice of utmost grace,
Then he saw the vision of her face.

From amongst the crowd she saw his eyes,
Of deepest blue and oh so wise,
In gentle voice she spoke his name,
And life for them was ne'er the same.

Now life for them is wedded bliss,
Since they kissed that first sweet kiss,
For nothing could halt the love they knew,
Not an ocean far and wide

Nor a shore of sapphire blue.

Poetry is just the evidence of life.
If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash. "
