paralleled world of marriage

who is the like minded?

willing is lying on your face
looking upward

do you live in the sky?

nimble-fingered jokes are tendrils
of enthusiasm that trees mutter
teasing savagely
about us in peculiar language

nursing the very lap of slavery
while swinging…
like flap jakes in the morning
whispering metallic melodies
we are genesis, first inhabitants
in this warmth of day
are we, so far away
from each other?

I am so perceptive
to your character
arms begging god for
superstitions
towering dense poise
hear me, help me
commanding the quiet place
one hundred feet
above the house
you take me, to
embodiment of soul
ever so far away
from what was us

I am hopelessly floating ore
the uneven earth below
in fire consultations
pausing energy
a deep shuddering
…where every countenance
becomes an era aware
fatal
impulse
electric shock
forgetting
everything
utterly hopeless

powerful the hymn
sonorous music
steadfastly ringing
in the fingers of day
coming in through our window

we beg God for heat of moon
enforcing obedience
to seal the sun lite hours
in some kingdom where
wind, chops up disturbing dreams
into firewood…recoiling dust
like invisible calculated distance
you are an ocean farmer
unwavering

cuddling close, closer, over our
distorted limbs
nemesis….a tone of pity
unless, we flee the squish, squish
of lessons of sorrow
harrowing systems
denying life, freedom
blank darkness steps off into a satchel
of serious looking men who magnify
where small rise of ground begins
a resurrection
of Christ…our comforts of life
recalling and recounting

oh the tears rolling down
faces of loneliness
by sojourn truth
we labor delusion
watch and pray
together, like children
never knowing, really, the noisy terror
that moves
through our camps of preachers
of time, of specimens of words
begging advice

you place
your fingers
softly covering my mouth
whispering,
"hush" fear not
You, with your
expressive wisdom
faith delights
remarkably our origin
where day
becomes a rise in heaven
on a cloud of powerful voice
encircled by the dense body
of animated moods

will you remember?
do you remember?

truly thrilling the heart susceptible
good voice bound
by a promise we made
long time ago
and for a time, again
I am yours
sooth me…
and I sweeten your solace
temper whole being
assembled around us
calling it's children

"who is the like minded?"
GOOD Question...

You have so many expressions needing a closer look.  Very interesting write  LeeJ.

LeeJ.,

Loving the last five or so stanzas in particular; they brought the parallel home to me.  Again, I am overwhelmed by your thought provoking poetry.  I marvel at your word choice, as per usual.

Take care.  Hope your winter weather there is kind.

Dear Lee...

this covers and covets
a full day and more
of time, reverence
solitude and family....

and you?

And You wrote it well.
