going back tomorrow-been with my parents since thursday.
feeling sad. how dumb. i am long "grown-up"
so-just writing...fixed typos-think i got them all...
not a poem-just-words:

to open up
soft on sand
sand
burrowing deep
down warm
into feathers
held soft like covers
deep inside
wombing
wombing
that window
yes...same window
holding out
the scent of air
at the great price
of loss

preparations
my dearest makings
a bridging of birth
to life of sending away
all pilings of days
building
growing
just enough
til the fledgeling feels air

high
undertaking
speaking slowly
as if dying
lively
as if singing

fledgeling time
will fly
must fly

but be aware
aware
or the loss will crush you
each day
all days
passed through
during  and along
your flight.

your flight,
as always,
you see,
is loss
and tomorrow
you must leave home
to go home.
and start again.
...............

"burrowing deep

It is good to go home again
at times I wish I could
just to feel this way, warm and safe.

As always, love your words.

I am glad I still live at home, well at least for another year.   But I liked your poem a lot.

thank you all so much.
i wanted -lastnight-to delete this. i was so in my head and not thinking clearly.
i was so worried i'd read this tomorrow (today now) and find i am once again too negative or "only venting"
i do need to put only "poems" up that i let sit  -not write them direcctly on here as if taking notes.
i suppose i still just don't think of myself as a writer--i write-to add to my artwork--but-not used to --well-i'm not really a poet or any of that--but i am still glad to be here.
now that i am home-i can read others work. i want to know others work-otherwise-why join.. (?)
anyway--ok-thanks
