Lighthouse Keeper
By: Noah Eaton
2/11/06
.
.
.
Northwest horizon overcast,
watching the cold front
drifting through the glass...

...it's a banshee of serenity...

.

My body is a house of many windows,
seeing all my allusions
and illusions free throw,

a hundred and forty feet above the sea...

.

.

Most nights are starless,
each day feels much too lonesome...

.

...I feel like a lighthouse keeper,
waiting for my time to come...

.

.

Feeling the dew point take effect,
it helps put me in the mood
to reflect,

.

why I must keep polishing,
this guiding love light daily...

.

Sometimes I feel
I’ve lost all concept of time,
but my time alone has helped me,
find something to live for...

…something great enough to die for...

…that you always share in my dreams...

.

.

Most nights are starless,
each day feels much too lonesome...

.

...I feel like a lighthouse keeper,
waiting for my time to come...

.

.

I swear each and every
night and day,
you’re the foam
gushing with the waves...

.

.

...my Aphrodite,
waiting to sweep me off my feet...

.

.

Most nights are starless,
each day feels much too lonesome...

.

...I feel like a lighthouse keeper,
waiting for my time to come...

.

waiting for my time to come...
.
.
.
.
.
.

Very nicely done, MA, as I too have seen Oregon during this time of year.  Your sentiments echo it most eloquently, 'feeling the dew point' and the eternal overhanging sky, ever now and again granting the sacred in Mount Hood's cameo appearance.

Be well, my friend, and don't underestimate the reasons behind UV lamps.
