to older wiser the young man went
for ways and whys to treat his love
with reverence he stood bent
before the shaman in scenes above

of sweet serene sounds Tibetan
as young man listens in solitude
for wisdom words awaiting incantation
from shaman lips, love’s platitude

“hold softly her heart with open hand”
as vesper-like whispers softly fall
young man leans upon saged plan
of so-wise words who deftly call

fire-stained embers that light the heart
as young man wrestles with guidance wise
shaman silence stills the rustled start
of awakening attained as young man’s prize

the smile of teacher lifts the spoken eyes
and young man’s soul in silence meets
as self in search of self so humbly dies
to serve his love’s each and ev’ry need

and shaman sinks in pleasant piety
to know the truth that’s passed
lives on in steadfast diety
of sainted student’s skill to last

from love-need life to life fulfilled
and younger heart his love now spilled

on lotus-lovely, his heart-song loosens

shown shaman ways and whys to treat
his love-choice ache of soul so sweet

Oh, what beautiful song.

As life succeeds light
Against your soft soul I lean
Stronger in weakness

Thank you for the inspiration
