Passions in Poetry

Passions in Poetry,
normally called PIP,
is a place that I settled
to see if I fit.
An old fashioned poet
who only bleeds rhyme,
writing with passion
but well past his time.

I found that the natives
who pitched their tent there,
were really quite friendly
and also would share,
their own words of wisdom
with those who were new
so I stayed to sample
a poem or two.

But most of the writers
who frequent this zone,
all seem to live
in a time of their own,
for I never meet them,
I write in their night
and as dark mystic creatures
I’m sure they take flight

But I know that they’re real
for they sometimes reply
to the poems I posted
as I passed them by.
And judging by comments
I think they don’t mind
the rambling poetry
I leave them to find.

Passions in Poetry
really ain’t bad.
Some folks write happy
while some folks write sad,
but the things that I write
when all's said and done
spell only one message
and that is…  Have Fun!

Ivor G Davies

The moment created this second, is a  moment that's going to last.
It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past.

I love the messages in your poetry, the way you seem to rhyme so easily, the humor you incorporate, along with the ability to tell stories.

Another write that I've found insightful and a pleasure to read.

We all live in different time zones and some of us work odd hours so we are not all on at the same time. I would guess that is a good thing. I see the early morning writers while at work and later if I have time to check in the afternoon. But then it's the usual busy home life and bed  time is early for me as I get up at 11 p.m to be at work before midnight. I am sure we all have the same routine. Some find more time to read and write. I  read as much as I can and you are one on my mind's list to check.

I do not always have the time to write and as I am not a poet anyway  I rarely post something original, just replies. To see anything I wrote you would have to go to the archives. Hope this answers some questions for you and others who  may wonder why no replies.  sincerely, martyjo

Those rambling poems?
I consider them treasure hunts!

So glad you are enjoying your time here, Ivor.
Write on!

I thought it was time to put pen to paper to say what I thought of the site!  Thank you all for giving me such a warm welcome here and the supportive comments on my posts.

I'm afraid I do ramble a bit and my pen takes me in any direction it wants!

Thank you all once again,

Have Fun,

Ivor
