Blue sky up above and I’m deep in love
until the heat of the day brings rage out to play
in droplets cascading like a waterfall
from the brow of a woman adorned no more.

It’s a suffering placed on many and all
when life turns the dial from youth to old age
and clouds the vision with hazy dreams
rising up from the burner of hope.

Though once was a summer that seeded results
and bloomed a rose from arid soil
volcanic eruptions of time’s many twists
have buried the good deep into the bad.

Clearly today there’s a reason, they say
waiting somewhere like a crown on display
and I wonder if then a woman with jewels
will walk upright, proud,
to have suffered this way.

No kidding!  Yes, I think there's a crown somewhere and we should walk proud, my friend.   ....jo

Thanks Leej, Jo, and Dixie.  I guess we all know what I'm talking about - more so is the pity but that's just life.

Honeybunch - be proud, trust me!! Some days it is hard to remember that, what with all the changes that go on, but we are still the same person we have always been, just sweetened with wisdom, experiences, and more memories. I like to think of it as a graduation from Princess to Queen
We RULE baby!

Hugs~~

Caroline - Thank you!  Yes, a queen indeed but still with the hopes and dreams of a princess and always, forever, in training!
