Faint glows of daylight
avalanched the eastern sky
down wind free falling
was naked silence
wildly dancing along
with the insane frenzy
of the vein of a new day…
boiling proud,
then prouder, like applause

I sat in obsess of this face of sunup
thoughts running amuck
like a lady searching aimlessly
for some little girl that she cannot
live without

déjà vu grabbed me by the arm
“yes”, I thought, “I am the slow motion
incantation of another life”
perhaps….
the next day skeptic
continuing possibility
or a child habitat for humanity,
intimately wrapped around
each and every moment that
crawls through the undergrowth
of my own traditional ways

then
like flashing red numbers
on a digital clock scream
“It’s time to get up”
a child woman, howls through the silence
with maternal instincts
painting God, across this special time
I know it was He, because of the forever
feelings, that pierced my whole being
charity removed it’s clothes
and wrapped around me

I’m sitting on a melody, waiting for the notes
to write my life across the sky of song
and there are times I still suck my thumb
in those oceans of memories
where the whispers sometime laugh
but in this human world, I’m still holding
onto that white robe of dreams
inside thoughts
I realize the benevolence of a thing
and realize death
I realize the sudden knock of life
at my invisible door

how many ways can one benefit from tragedy?
My body prepared for the ceremony

it was very early morning still
when i awoke on a beach of endless tomorrows
and those faint glows of daylight
got up and walked with me, to the sea

and that child and woman, formed a stronger
bond, between them…they are now together
through out eternity…an arrangement by the
journey

You know your poems always take my breath away and I took a chance to read this because with this cough I have I don't have much breath left.

Lee, without a doubt, this is my favourite of all of your poems that I have had the priviledge of reading! Outstanding piece of writing! Thank you so much for sharing a part of your journey with your avid readers ~ and fans!

You wrote of the integration of both aspects of you, with such grace, understanding, eloquence, ~ and acceptance.

I love both of you, my dear friend! Now you are at one with yourself ~ and with God!

What a pleasure to read this on my return although it has rendered me somewhat speechless.  Your insight is astounding and expression equally so.  LeeJ - you're still amazing!

LeeJ

You are so word glorious...I can almost see this colorful globe inside you where they fall from.

"how many ways can one benefit from tragedy?"

Not sure, but tis true.  Hugging you!
