.

How much
Precious time
Has been spent
In contemplation

The mind lost
Invested
With no return

Because of the grace
In a single gaze
The way one moved
Across a room

Yet I’ve seen magic
Without tricks performed
Between solid walls
And in open air

When beauty
Stepped into the scene
And made all others
Disappear

So mark me down
As incorrigible
Let scholars scoff
And cynics sneer

Still even a wise man
Would rather drown
In Helen’s wine
Than quaff Medusa’s beer

You definitely have an eye for imagery that blows one away~

Even a wise man......

Ah, the little things you do slip in so seamlessly -- that's one of the things that make mere verse, which most of us write, into poetry.
