No, I'm Not Okay

I would tell you of the nights I lay awake
and all the days I throw away-
feeling like I'm about to break,
pushing life out of the way.
No, I'm not okay.

Maybe I've taken the long way home
too many times for my own good,
thinking about wanting to die alone
rather than struggle to be understood.
No, I'm not feeling like I should.

I don't have it in me to start over again.
These things never should've been this way-
I turn me off and stop remembering when,
wanting peace here where I lay,
no, I'm not okay...

but thanks for asking anyway.

Hello Dix, here's hoping as the day grows longer you will feel better about all that you've accomplished...

You emote with the best of 'em! ~ very well, indeedy! ~ I really felt your pain and resignation.

It's okay to not be okay ~ but hopefully not for very long. There are those down times along that road to a new and better place. That is to be expected ~ but they sure as hades suck, don't they!?!

Keep your on the prize! ~ The life that you have been working towards! You are well on your way! Remember, yer quite the Chick, Dixie!

May peace and joy fill you up from head to toe!

Sure you are.
You just don't know it yet

Poet, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Take care sweet Dixie.

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

It suits me mighty well too...not an okay bone in my body these days, it seems.

I'm glad you found it there, and glad I found it here.

We learn from mistakes
that's why we get wise.
If we were all perfect
then there'd be no prize.
It's OK to know
that we took the wrong way,
there's always tomorrow
for that's a new day!

No man is an island,
nor woman and all.
Most of us learn
when we hurt from the fall.
It's when we are down
and abandon all hope.
We finally find
a new way to cope.

For knowing your failures
is knowing your strengths.
Admitting your down
brings a strange recompense.
For releasing the past
with a stroke of your pen
means that you are ready
to enjoy life again
