I'm looking at the wall of my study
full of memories, telling tales of my life

from left to right:

A poster of my Mom's exhibition, seven years ago
she has reached the age ninety five now
that's an art in itself

A beautiful photo of the cavalry WW2
I've met one of them, second on the right
he passed away few years ago

Little drawing strips my father made
which we used in the magic lantern
memories of my youth

The beautiful anouncement for my sisters wedding
being a widow for long she remarried
and is living happily ever after

A photo of my soulmate in breeding sheep
At the age of seventy, both legs were amputated
a woman with a strong mind and lots of humor

Two paintings of my father, who was an artist
he taught me to respect all living things
wish he was still here to answer my questions

Each one of those memories precious
and close to my heart

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Hi, Titia! Your vivid description of your wall of memories, had me right their beside you looking at it ~ and feeling some of the emotions that you were experiencing.

A beautiful and poignant piece of nostalgic writing, Dear Poetess!

Giving you a warm, hug-o-love,

Linda
