Every angel is terrible And still, alas knowing all that I serenade you ~Rilke, The Second Elegy let me sing to my angel let me sing bare flutter of wing air of sentry ah let me sing arms bony legs that capture my desire hold me let me sing nights spent in gardens and streams days slept away in dream cloud let me sing to my angel wingwrap me angel fly me under clouds to places that cry and laugh take me places left damp from living dry from footprints hot from tears ask me angel what does soul say? then listen and let me sing to my angel |
