Sounds of Sunday

Sunday morning I wake to turning
music of Brickman’s black and white
and the notes are all the colors of you
how my mind thinks in valentine red
but pumps in an aching shade of blue
I turn the pages of Stendhal on love
and what is it that I truly know of it
I have a melody of my own, it is waiting
so much of life stood still in hesitate
all I have ever known is found lost
I could write you all my fallen tears
and poetry sings written from inside
I whisper at night do you hear me
in snowflakes do you hear my heart
do you know its faith, it is strong enough
you are there between each beat
call my name just call my name
my heart is in your hands play me

“all romantics meet the same fate”…Joni Mitchell

So lovely...these words my favourite.

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

Poet, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
