Vespers

A candle with its taper burning
has gone to fill the moon
in the dark I see it light
the patio to vesper's room
taking distance with melted tongue
hark the whisper so begun

Weaving in the window’s lore
for more I enter out of sleep
and keep to path that was invisible
to touch of skin and sleight of time
releasing feather’s flight of rhyme

Away my darling lullaby
I’ve song enough within my womb
the rhythm holds warm canopy
with trust it weaves without perfume

I feel the tender opening
remembering the seed planting
the moon the sun the rain include
a door that means vicissitude

No weeping walk of solitude
can take away the knowing darn
where swaying threads proclaim the night
and in the dark enlighten sight

It must be February.

It must be love.

Softly beautiful dear Martie.

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

Have you put this to music?  I could hear it, and it was simply beautiful Martie.
