Taken for granted
displaced along a cord
the reason for a call
comes through a wire
carbon encased receiver
a voice from another world
touched those fringes
taken for granted edges
from rest to life
taken in by imagined looks
hypnotized by choice
she stumbles
in the mirror

so much to say
so little time
to dance
hypnotised catwalks
displaced on stages
reason for why they love
a hope for fleeting stares
touched those fringes
taken for granted skin
edges on in the night
she stumbles from stage
to potato chip floors
they were occupied
with naked yearnings
her view
taken for granted.

Afraid to look
some kind of magnetic
at a glance language
that furtive glance
that takes you away
leaves the body behind
from wondeful, beautiful
false and uncaring
touches and caresses
taken for granted
the wanted obsession
afraid to look
from without to within
taken for granted
taken advantage of
another club girl

A disorienting string of images, yet you tie them together into something very... satisfying. Strange poem. Very nice too. Much enjoyed.
