Not in Rhyme

This cannot rhyme, I must try change,
my verse I’ll try to re-arrange.
Oh hell, I know, I’ve made it rhyme,
my pen’s the culprit every time!

I’ll try once more to write this poem
without a rhyme to keep it flowin’.
I don’t believe I cannot do it,
there really should be nothing to it!

There’s something wrong within my head,
I should take heed of what I said.
I said, “I mustn’t rhyme this time”,
but rhyme’s in every bloody line!

Well I give in, I am not clever,
my poetry will rhyme forever.
I’ll never make a decent poet,
if it’s not rhyme… I just can’t show it!

It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past.

Ivor~

I happen to think that good lines of ink
are spilled in perfected rhyme
Yet and still ... I know I will
prefer it every time~

That's just how I hear it flow
syncopated words ... as they go
one by one ... or two by two
I'm just a rhyming fool like you~

Hope you like my little grin
and you take it on the chin
for that's the silly mood I'm in
when rhyming is where I've always been~

Ivor,
It only shows you don't like chaos. LOL

Marge,

At last another poet
who doesn't really know it
that rhyming ain't in fashion anymore.

Free verse is really cool
and it's only an old fool
who doesn't see it really is a bore!

But oldies all unite
we can put up quite a fight
I even know a granny who can rap.

For to ears so old you see
well the rest is just to me
Nothing but a garbled pile of...

....beautifully worded free verse.

Seymour,

Chaos, I LOVE Chaos, to me it is the only truly organized thing I can find my way in!
(Comes of being an Operations Manager)

I am only truly comfortable when things are changing, it is the only stability I know...

I saw an orange today
and was reminded of Earl in a way.
If she ever gets fat
she could just look like that,
but then she might just roll away!

Thank you for admiring my rhyme,
your a gentleman outside your time,
a throwback to old
when all stories told
where written to match every line.

As carrots and ancients 'come out'
you may wonder what it's all about
But rhyme twists your mind
is what you will find
especially when Earl meets a sprout!
