Just Too Busy

My precious first born
Although, I'm growing old
I made it just fine
Before you came along

You always say
You are just too busy
To take any time
To spend with me

Just remember one thing
I won't always be here
Then, it will be too late
I'll be no where near

All I ever wanted
Was just one day
To spend time with you
But, there just was no way

I'll no longer be around
For you to toss aside
Nor will I ever feel again
The pain I felt inside

Sad write

Poet, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Ahhh Sue...

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

The times have sure changed haven't they?  What with the pace our kids keep now, we are lucky to get a phone call sometimes, and it does hurt.  I learned long ago to be just thrilled when I do get to see them, and hope you too will see your family soon.

Just leave your door ajar Sue, because...who knows...she may come to her senses one day. But don't stand behind it...waiting.
I never layed any pressure on my kids, I wanted them to come, because they liked to come and not because they had to come and I must say, it works well.
I hope for you she'll come around one day.

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

It is amazing when one's conscience pricks
how eager a loved one wants to make amends.

As was said above, keep the door ajar,
in your heart, mentally, emotionally,
for one never knows when a tapping
will be heard.

sometimes you just have to give them space...but I know what you mean, Sue.

Sue, Hun, you just don't know how much I understand this. I waited for years, but my daughter finally does want to communicate with me. It sure isn't enough for me, though. I would LOVE to hear from her more often than I do.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Sweetie.
with love and big hugs,
Ethel
