I heard the flute
answer the pipe
and my horse was discontent
frigid
spirit
malcontent
clamouring the turf and cliffs
did not bother her--she knew
the path from where the goats were led
and so I dropped the reigns and let
her take me  down the steep incline
to the fields where hay was bound
by the fiercest of them fought:
the men had bound them tight tonight.

A delicate white prance of thought

as if these cloven feet were silk
tied in pink for innocence
and the burden on her back
was nothing but a mere bustle
following the way...
as the dogs all greeted us
wagging tail rememberance
and not a warning barked because
our scent was reassurance and
the dogs, they knew the cost of it--

soldiers, nudging
each other
telegraphing
"admittance"
as I slid ephereal
torn in places gossamer
shreds against the brambling
branches reaching for my legs
to pull me down from my pale horse
whispered with the scratchings
"stay"...

so I sang the flute
and slid
down the side into a box
that played chimes in cylinder
and 'ere the notes that played was this:

the answer of the pipes
a kiss
from the groom unto his wife
veiled by journey's mysteries
and scarred forever by the life

that led her straight to him.

note to Michael Anderson--I took your pale horse for a spin. Hope you don't mind.

If Michael could inspire someone
he would say, well done...

and you had me all the way
to the capture of the
little tune in the
music box.

I never can think of anything good enough to say about your stuff

but know, I do read with my mouth dropping in awe, eyes never blinking

And the path of the goats always depends on the goat herder yes?

I think I can relate....

Hi you!  I feel like we just rode double through a dream, and I don't really feel like waking.  It is a compliment to Michael's work, that you took his pony for a ride, and our pleasure you did.

Do you have any idea how amazing your writing is?
How beautiful you are?

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

and no I don't know how beautiful I are--TELL ME.

Thank you for reading-this is one of those "I dunno where it came from" poems--but it's my very favorite thing when I get lost while writing, so thanks for reading it.

Love to all.

When my brain gets untangled I'll say more.
Until then you'll have to settle for ...
Well done

Poet, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

This is one of those pieces of poetry where when one reads it, the jaw drops, the eyes follow the imagery, the body feels everything happening, and the heart goes Ohhhh....and sighs deeply. If ever a standing ovation were deserved, it is now. Brava!
