.

It is terrible
To love without response

To see instead
The somewhat bored
Gesture of posture
Limned with a certain confidence
That all if not for all
Will turn out for the best

A young girl
In her heart
Again, offers all she has

And once again
Must accept instead

Ashes
Where roses lived

I envy your talent, truly. You make words become living, breathing things, alive in my head. It is awesome!

.

Caroline,

Thank you,

In Vino Veritas,
Or in this case, Japanese rice wine,
which in this instant reveals , as it has always been,
that I am, (condemn him to Hell), a romantic.

Let this be a secret,
for in truth as such
I am vulnerable . .  .

Thank you again,

John

Poignant is too weak a word for this. Excellent work here, excellent and empathic in a loving way.
