Where Have All The Trees Gone?

The view is better
but empty
in your absence…

An apparition attempts
a simulacrum imposition
but that’s exactly what it is…

For memory is never as vivid
as the moment experiencing you…

Mark,
Thanks for reading my lame poem, I am just depressed. Will  get over it.
as for these lines in yours

"For memory is never as vivid
as the moment experiencing you…"

Just wow, and I apply this to everything besides trees... Excellent.

Beautiful Mark!
Welcome Home!

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

Hi, Mark! Long time no read! I see that you haven't lost your succinct but ever so loverly touch!

as the moment experiencing you"

Giving you a warm, welcome-back hug,

it has been way to long Mark..happy to see you writing again...

sort of like viewing art in the Allentown, PA Museium, compared to Washington DC museium, no comparison, yanno...
Excellent write/right...

Hey Dixie, thanks for the welcome back & read.

Hi Sy:  ...just so long as my aim is still spot-on...  Thank you for the warm welcome back, my friend.

RDB, I appreciate your reading it & taking a moment to respond -- thank you.

Hey there Sandra -- good to see/read you again & thank you for the kind words.  I know exactly what you mean though I'm consciously thinking how old beautiful trees are becoming more & more scarce over time as either the weather or typically man clears them for selfish reasons...

Hi Marge -- been a while, eh?  Thanks for the hug, read, & thoughts.

Ah, Nancy...   right back at you...

Linda!  This is feeling like a most welcome reunion, I must say!  Thank you most kindly for the warmth on this cold evening...

LeeJ:  ...too long, indeed.  Time does what it does, but I love the way it stands still in a good way here -- there's always the familiar warmth to which a return always looks forward.  I'll have to make more time for the writing since life always has its distractions and demands...  Good to see you too!
