Near golden sunsets

Old words
simply mimic
a craving -
to hold memories
brought forth,
line by line,
in black and white
dreams.

She danced along the candlelit wall,
a naked shadow starkly real.
Gray eyes regarded mine and the moment
simply was - the flame no longer
flickered, her shadow a ghost painted
black on the wall.

In between heart beats, moment by
moment in stop-frame memories, I
cry old words and dream each black
and white dream.

Philip~
You tenderly bring the shadow to life~
There is a poignancy to this that wants to stay with me~

I like it~
