Faintest tinge of morning's blush
annoints the Eastern sky.
Birdsong, tentative, barely heard,
by my 'dearest love' and I.

Crimson streaks announce the dawn
while sounds of night diminish.
Daylight comes on quiet note -
our evening's slumbers finish.

Slowly she opens a languorous eye -
a smile already beaming!
Reaching out with wide-open arms...
we capture what we've been dreaming!

Poetry is just the evidence of life.
If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash. "
