In a state of disrepair...

Tearing the silence
of the overused air
Sounds the laughter
of a badly tuned guitar
echoing to the stars

Singing every note
of everything he wrote
Going through the motions
such a pretty notion
for a lack of emotion.

Yes, he's singing
but he just isn't there
only that glazed stare.
Mouthing the lyrics
in quiet despair.

Hello, hello, hello,
how low.....
