I gaze into the pale moon But no matter how I try When I look upon her majesty I cannot help but cry Beauty is all around me And yet I cannot feel it This beauty it surrounds me And yet I cannot steal it It eludes me It dances around me It beckons to me Yet I still cannot take part in it When I gaze into the pale moon Before laying me down to sleep I thank the Lord for this day past But also pray it to be my last |
