Announcement Of Mauve

Unveiling first of winter dawn
Announcement of mauve
If glorious could blush
First thought shared the moment
Just there, hovering expression
In a candy sky

Summoning intoxicating glimpse
White clouds parting a pathway
For blue day in gold ray
Oh, the million dreams provoked
Sitting at the end of a dock
Java bean, my chin esteem

We share water, you and I
Power and fluidity, depth and emotion
Though I would give a noble home, the notion
For days spent in the tune of my nature
Chopping wood to electric bass
Getting busy on a noontime break

Allure and a fish pole humming afternoon blues
Dinner in the twilight of Sinatra
Starlight sets the table in the garnish of gems
Holding you, eyes closed in the flow of moments
Following your lead, following your hands
Seasons change full around to be mauve

Unveiling first of winter dawn
And closely just beneath, unveiling us
