Listening to every heart

The new wave

At the moment of spray, it
was not the kiss of my girlhood
no, for it was
later in life, another where in time
yet, still

the horizon was as flat
as I remembered from girlhood
but this undertow of now
was so much stronger

a moment,
auspicious,

with uncalculated depth
and emotions translucent

and even the fish in the waves saw more
than I knew at
that moment.

And you knew it, too.

I love this one.  I love the picture, the one you put above the poem, and the one the poem paints.

Sissie....so much happens in that time that swells up and over and wets the air, there.

The wave
breaks

breaks

then
heals itself
immaculate

scarless
forever

breaks again...

Oh if--

--if only
I could be

a wave

Kari, the moment I opened this, my heart gasped, there is something hauntingly beautiful about the ocean...you just want to immerse yourself in...as are your poems...beautifully deep and inspirational

Hey, kids...thank you all.

I do enjoy this poem...we all have special ones
that keep breaking over us, as does this one over me...

thank you!
