In a state of disrepair...

Keep all your
unveiled hints.
Your rosy tints
of soft instinct.
I have my own
Litany of Bliss

Beat on now, Slow Clock.
Rot follows cold follows hot.

My little checklist
a nihilistic wish list
to silence your
“Plenty of fish”
and all the other
cliches glistening
on your lip gloss.

Dream on now, Slow Clock.
Rot follows cold follows hot.

Why can’t you see
the hate in me
held in that viscously
misconstrued
and salient sea?
Why try and lie?
Your dye can’t
change my cloth.

Count on now, Slow Clock.
Rot follows cold follows hot.
...tick...  ...tock...

"The world won't end in darkness, it'll end in family fun
With Coca Cola clouds behind a Big Mac sun."

One God by The Beautiful South

Yes sometimes that clock seems to be ticking so slowly....understood this.  Nicely penned, loved the repeating lines found it to be very effective in this piece.
