.

Almost invisible
New snow falls
On open fields

In blue gray light
At dawn the mood is mute
Calm and still

Though there’s no one
In the view
One mind surrounds
All it sees

Under the branches
Of a yet green tree
A first year rabbit
Licks its fur

This is a haiku.  Yes, I know it's a bit long for one.  But still, the whole thing left me with that feeling.

Your use of imagery is outstanding. I do believe you must write with a paintbrush in your mind....and what an artist you are!

P,

You are probably right.
The poem is no more than
linked verse.

I am glad you liked it . . .

Thank you
